The Big Bark is a dog podcast series which focuses on bringing you the best content from the canine world. Each episode is streamed live from Limerick, a city in the mid west of Ireland. Each week we have a different guest co-host who joins our Host Darragh Bourke to chat about what’s happening in the canine world.
Our guests come from a wide variety of backgrounds, from Behaviourists, Veterinarians, canine physiotherapists, to producers and suppliers of some of the best pet products available on the Irish market. We carry out honest product reviews of these products with our canine testers Bruno & Milly.
A fundamental feature of our show is to meet with dog owners and their dogs to discuss the special bonds that make a dog man’s best friend. It’s a feature which we are passionate about and we continue to meet amazing dog owners who cherish that bond with their canine companions.
Currently, averaging at Number 10 in it’s category on the Podcast charts, The Big Bark has quickly grown to become a fan favourite. We have a growing fan base not just in Ireland but on a global scale with dog owners watching our live streams from as far away as Texas and New Zealand.
While our success comes down in part to our new branding strategy, much of the reason for the shows success comes from the simplicity of providing dog owners with educational value. Most importantly the success of the show is due to a set of strong core values which I and my team live by.

The host of The Big Bark is Darragh Bourke, a dog owner with a passion for canine Psychology and behaviour. Here’s a bit more about Darragh in his own words:
I’m Darragh and I’m that crazy dog guy you hear about. Over the last year, I’ve completed a diploma in Pet Psychology which has opened up my eyes to the extraordinary workings of a dogs mind. plan to become a fully qualified Canine Behaviour specialist in the next 3 years and ultimately follow my lifelong passion of working with dogs.
I have two beautiful dogs, who you see pictured with me here – Milly is a Golden labrador who loves attention more than anything – we call her the princess and then Bruno a Bloodrador (black Lab X Bloodhound) who can be a bit of a shy fellow but has a complete heart of gold.
As the host of the podcast, My goal is to share my experiences with my dogs to the world, chat with some wonderful dog owners and canine professionals along the way and offer a platform to other dog owners to tell us what makes their dog their best friend.
